Now you can use two-factor authentication (2FA) in cPanel

When you turn on 2FA, you make it harder for unauthorised people to get in, even if they guess your password.

In the past, our customer panel has been able to activate two-factor authentication (2FA). Now, the option is finally coming to cPanel.

What is two-factor authentication?

On most services today, you are used to logging in with a username and password. That’s what we call single-factor authentication.

With two-factor authentication, we add one more thing (a factor) to log in, in addition to the username and password. Often an app on your phone. With it, you authenticate the login itself.

This means that even if someone gets hold of your login details, they can’t get in because they can’t validate the login.
