Better email compression saves space

With our improved email compression, you can save up to 20-40% on storage.

Now you can fit more emails in the same space as before. In May, we rolled out improved compression on all our servers.

As a customer, you will see two benefits:

  1. When you use the webmail and have a lot of emails, you will notice that it loads a bit faster.
  2. You will save space on your account. Many customers have gotten back 20-40% of what used to be spent on storing email.

How much space you save thanks to the new compression varies a bit depending on whether you send a lot of images or just text.
