Today we launch our new cloud platform Oderland Cloud. It is a modern cloud platform that allows you to build your own infrastructure solution, your own cloud, in a flexible and scalable way.
The backbone of Oderland Cloud is our virtual machines. You combine compute resources (virtual CPUs and RAM) with flexible storage devices. Our virtual machines come in many sizes and in three categories:
- General Purpose. Suitable for all types of applications.
- Memory Intensive. Has extra memory and is suitable for memory-intensive use, such as caching, Redis, databases and more.
- CPU Intensive. Have extra vCPUs and are well suited for processor-intensive use, such as video encoding and more.
You can combine different virtual machines, flexible storage disks as well as load balancers, routers and network connections to build your own public cloud to suit you.
With Oderland Cloud, you are responsible for everything on the server such as upgrades and software maintenance. All your data is stored securely on servers in our latest data centre in Gothenburg.
Oderland Cloud is built on OpenStack, which is the market-leading underlying technology with open clouds. If you already use an OpenStack solution, it is easy to start using Oderland Cloud. If you have built an autoscaling solution using OpenStack’s API, it also works in Oderland Cloud.
Whether you need a small development server, a few virtual machines for an application or a large auto-scaling cluster, Oderland Cloud has the solutions for you.
