News for WooCommerce 10.0

The latest version of the world’s largest e-commerce system is soon here, WooCommerce 10.0 will be available July 14 (postponed from July 7th) . It is of course a milestone (10th major version!) that comes with several major improvements, both for those who run webshops and for those who build them.

With improved performance, new editing capabilities, and a more integrated experience, WooCommerce is more powerful than ever.

1. WooCommerce Admin integrated directly into the extension

As of version 10.0, WooCommerce Admin is no longer a separate extension – it’s now an integral part of the core. This means that analytics dashboards, order reports and the modern admin interface are directly available without the need for an additional extension.

2. New blocks for emails and product descriptions

The new version introduces a Product Description Block, making it easier to create and edit product content with Gutenberg.

In addition, the email editor gets several new blocks, including for product reviews and review titles.

3. Shareable Checkout URLs

A much-requested feature is the ability to create shareable checkout links. This means you can now generate a direct link to the checkout with a pre-populated cart – perfect for promotions, newsletters or social media product links.

4. Improved performance and faster gallery

Performance is a major focus of this update. Improvements include optimized product galleries and more efficient loading of editing interfaces. This results in a faster and more responsive admin experience.

5. New hooks, API improvements and UI adjustments

For developers, new possibilities such as improved validation in the checkout flow via a new woocommerce_store_api_checkout_after_validation hook. In addition, there are new endpoints in the REST API, better settings for email templates and adjustments in the admin interface.
