As of June 3, 2024, updated Terms and Conditions of Registration for .se and .nu domains will apply. Please note, however, that the changes do not require anything from you if you already own one or more domains. You don’t have to do anything to continue using your current domain names.
About updated registration conditions for .se and .nu
For holders of one or more .se or .nu domains, the change means that the current version of the Terms and Conditions of Registration will apply until June 2, 2024. The current version will be replaced on June 3, 2024 by the Terms and Conditions of Registration with the new changes. After that date, they will apply to all holders regardless of their registration date. You can find links to the new terms and conditions in the summary below.
If you register a new domain name during the period up to and including June 2, 2024, the current version of Terms and Conditions of Registration will apply. The updated Terms and Conditions of Registration will thereafter apply to all domain name holders irrespectively of date of registration of the domain name.

Summary of changes and additions
This applies to both .se and .nu domains:
- New registration: A domain name, if newly registered, may remain deactivated, in case of deficiency, or assumption of deficiency, in meeting the requirement of accurate and complete information about the domain holder. When a domain name is deactivated means that it will not be published in the .se/.nu-zone, essentially making it unreachable on the internet,
- Deactivation: clarification that, the notification to the domain holder of a deactivation, in the case of failure to fulfill the requirement for accurate and complete information may originate not only from The Swedish Internet Foundation but also from the relevant registrar.

This only applies to .nu domains:
- Domain holder information: changes meaning that foreign domain holders shall provide identification information equivalent to either Swedish organization number or Swedish personal identity number. These requirements mirror the existing requirements already in effect under the registration conditions for .se.
