We’re offering double resources with Elastic Scaling during Black Week
With Black Week around the corner, many of us are hoping that the promotion offers and campaigns will help us break website visitor records. But is your site ready to handle a higher number of visitors than it’s used to?
Black Week is important for many website operators, not least e-retailers, to increase both traffic and sales.
If you are planning one or more campaigns to drive more traffic during Black Week, it’s likely to put more pressure on your website. More traffic means it’s working harder, requiring more resources than normal.
If you don’t have enough resources during website traffic peaks, the risk is that your website will load slowly or not at all.

In connection with offering extra resources during Black Week, we’re also updating the capacity of how much resources you can increase.
More specifically, the amount of CPU you can add increases from 8 to 10 cores. This also means that you who have a Deluxe Web Hosting package can maximize the number of CPU cores during Black Week at no extra cost.
About Elastic Scaling and how it works
With Elastic Scaling, you quickly give your website extra resources (CPU and RAM) without upgrading your package. You can add extra resources whenever you need them. The service is available for all our web hosting packages.
All you need to do to get double resources is to manually turn up your resources directly in the client area on Monday, November 25th and then disable them when you no longer need them. It’s as simple as that.
How to increase your resources
- Log in to the client area and go to the “Shared Hosting” tab.
- Click on the icon under “Resources” corresponding to the service you want to increase resources for.
- Adjust the extra resources with a user-friendly slider, one for CPU and one for RAM.
During Black Week, there is also a button that doubles your resources with one click. - Activate your changes by clicking “Activate Elastic Scaling”.
If you want to increase by more than double your resources, you will get a price suggestion directly in the slider, which is how Elastic Scaling usually works.
Don’t forget you need to disable Elastic Scaling manually at the end of the campaign (unless you want to continue to boost your website at the normal cost).
Double resources with Elastic Scaling costs you nothing during the campaign period and can be used between 25/11 – 2/12 (until Cyber Monday). After that, it costs as usual, 1GB RAM 3 SEK/day & 1CPU 5 SEK/day. Therefore, remember to disable Elastic Scaling yourself after December 2nd if you don’t need extra resources.
